Rolex watches are a symbol of status, elegance, and sophistication, and the new Rolex Cellini series is one of the most exclusive lines in the entire collection. The Rolex Cellini watches feature a variety of styles for any occasion, from casual to formal attire. They also come with some unbeatable benefits, making them an excellent choice for anyone looking to buy a luxury watch. In this blog post, we will highlight what makes Rolex Cellini unique and convince you why they’re worth considering when shopping for your next watch!

The Rolex Cellini watches are named after an Italian Renaissance artist, Benvenuto Cellini. This is fitting, as the watches themselves have a uniquely timeless and classical look. The design of each Rolex Cellini watch has been refined over many years to perfection, giving you a timepiece that will always be in style. And unlike some other luxury brands, Rolex never falls out of fashion – their classic designs remain popular year after year.

But it does not just look that makes the Rolex Cellini series special. These watches also come packed with features that set them apart from the competition. For example, all of the models in this collection are manual-winding mechanical watches, meaning they don’t use a battery! Instead, they are powered by a winding crown, setting them apart from other luxury watches. But it doesn’t stop there: the Rolex Cellini automatic movement features the brand’s proven and reliable Swiss chronometer certification.

Rolex has been manufacturing prestige timepieces since 1905, so you can be sure that every new Rolex Cellini watch will function perfectly for years to come. As one of their most exclusive collections ever, these watches are only available in limited quantities each year, making now your best chance to own one!

Timeless History of Rolex Watches

Before Rolex became a prestigious and one of the most trusted brands of watches in history, Rolex was a small supplier of quality watches to major London jewelers, run by Hans Wilsdorf and his brother-in-law Alfred Davis. Wilsdorf & Davies was founded in 1905, and by 1908 it was one of Britain’s leading watch companies. Wilsdorf was 24 then, and Davis originally imported movements, put watches in cases in England, and sold them to jewelers. As a result, the two saw the potential to develop their brand. This prediction came true in 1908 when Wilsdorf secured the Rolex name.

The famous brand name “Rolex” was first coined in 1908 but was not registered until November 5, 1915. The name “Rolex” did not come from the last name of a watchmaker, but Wilsdorf said this name was given while riding a bus, horse-drawn when a whisper from a genie of the word “Rolex.” The name made a lasting effect as Wilsdorf wanted a short name that was easy to remember and pronounce in any language. The brand started in London, but after registering the “Rolex” trademark, the company soon opened an office in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland.

Wilsdorf has always placed great importance on timekeeping precision, and in 1910 Rolex became the first wristwatch to receive the Swiss Chronometric Accuracy Certificate. In 1919 the brand moved to Geneva. The “Chronometer” certification, which certifies the precision and uniqueness of a watch, is not only a guarantee of the know-how applied throughout the time manufacturing process but also of extreme quality. In the marketplace, it provides added value, allowing customers to identify its credibility among other watch companies. In 1920 the company name was changed officially to Montres Rolex S.A. (for Société Anonyme, which means a limited company) and later to Rolex S.A.

Four years later, in 1919, the company officially moved its headquarters to Geneva, Switzerland. In 1925, the distinctive crown or coronet trademark was introduced in Geneva and now appears on all Rolex models as a symbol of excellence and quality. The strength and success of the Rolex brand are largely the legacies of Hans Wilsdorf, as he was considered one of the world’s most valuable brands with annual sales exceeding US$3 billion; the Hans Wilsdorf Foundation still manages the company. Rolex became famous, especially in 1926. The watchmaking industry underwent major changes. This was an important milestone in modern watchmaking. Rolex invented the first waterproof case with a patented case back, screw-down crown, and winding crown. It was called the Rolex Oyster Case. British professional swimmer Mercedes Gleitze, the first woman to swim the English Channel, put the watch to the ultimate test. Today, many people equate luxury watches with Rolex because of their marketing and world-class prominence. Owning a Rolex is a goal for many collectors, and each Rolex watch is designed and tailored to appeal to every user personally.
