  • Massage Coconut Oil On The Scalp

Combine five tbsp of coconut oil and 5 to 10 drops of essential oil (preferably tea tree oil). Leave the mixture on the scalp overnight or for 30 minutes if you do not have enough time to spare. Coconut oil fights fungi to eliminate dandruff while tea tree oil can boost shine on the hair.

  • Lemon Juice

Massage two tbsp of fresh lemon juice to your scalp and wash after one minute using one cup of warm water and 1 tbsp of lemon juice. This ritual is best to be done before taking a bath. Lemon juice has acids that can help in breaking down the fungus causing dandruff. And since it contains no harsh chemicals, you are assured that it is safe for everyday use.

  • Baking Soda

Damp your hair and sprinkle one tbsp of baking soda on the scalp, and let it sit for a minute. Wash it off with water and make sure baking soda is completely removed. Overactive fungi can be killed using baking soda and it can also assist exfoliate the scalp without irritating the skin.
